ACTIVITY 8 - Using CUT, PASTE and COLOUR with a Timeline.
Use CUT and PASTE to arrange a timeline in chronological order and COLOUR to distinguish between different types of events.
Download and Open the file 'Industrial Revolution Timeline' by right clicking here and selecting either 'Save Target As' or 'Save Link As'. Save the file in the c:\ directory. Start Word from your Windows Menu bar and Open the file you have just saved.
Use CUT and PASTE to arrange the events in the correct chronological order.
From the FORMAT menu, click on FONT and choose COLOUR to colour code the events in the list:
POLITICAL events can remain in BLACK
ECONOMIC events can become BLUE
SOCIAL events change to GREEN
CULTURAL events change to DARK MAGENTA.
Remember to Save your finished timeline onto your disk, in the same way as in Activity1.
